Ichigo Ichigo is a handwriting-practice app for iPad and iPhone, built to work entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Ichigo Ichigo does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking or SDKs.
What stays on your device
Everything you create — your handwriting, notebooks, notes, decks, practice history, and review schedule — is stored only on your device. We operate no servers and receive none of it. (A future iCloud sync option will use your own private iCloud, managed by Apple; even then, your data would move only between your devices and we would never see it.)
WaniKani (optional)
If you choose to connect a WaniKani account, the app talks directly to WaniKani's API using the personal access token you provide, only to read the kanji, levels, and mnemonics from your own WaniKani account. That token is stored in your device's Keychain and is sent only to WaniKani (wanikani.com). Nothing about your practice is sent to them, and we are not affiliated with WaniKani. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local review reminders on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to produce them.
Data deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. You can also export a backup of, or reset, your data from within the app at any time.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages, collects no data, and shows no ads.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page, with the date above updated.
